KCD is well established and has a team devoted to their vision.
Bigger companies that do that, just want to cash in at the earliest. No ea needed.
I want to play the finished game, not half of it and half later
no.
it´s open world and thus will have some hilarious glitches and annoying game-/ quest-breaking bugs. depending on how complex some quests will be (timers, paths, connection to other quests, etc), things might not work properly 1 year (++) in.
at least this is my expectation, thus i assume i will be playing it about 2-4 weeks after release.
putting it out early and unnecessarily risking a mass amount week 1 negative reviews due to bugs is a bad idea. most people wont go back on their reviews. the number of reviews after week 2-3 are so low, every single % is a massive uphill battle.
another delay to make (somewhat) sure that the starting experience is good would be my strategy, in the case that early game has problems.
warhorse can put as much soul into this game as they want (again, my expectation), the early hours matter and since an experience reset is likely, those early hours really have to go balls deep on medieval vibes.
that said, my main gripe is that there´s no collectors edition for PC for germany/europe.
I prefer not to be an unpaid game tester.
Patches and updates for finished games are still welcome of course.
