Third person option this time?
I know, I know, so many people love first-person view, but, well, I don't. Besides, while it makes some sense in competitive shooters, sword fighting in FPV is terrible and not immersive at all.

I hope so

Melee can be much easier to follow in third person but exploring is more immersive in first.

I’d like the option to switch but this has probably already been decided long ago. Does the announcement video give any clues? I need to see it again.

I just love how Skyrim and ESO give you the ability to switch freely between the two perspectives... wish more games did this.

I really can't imagine the woods and other areas in the first game feeling the same in third person.
Would love it but probably not. Hopefully they give us mod support to this though, helps increase the longevity of the game if a potential third entry is gonna take as long or longer.

Haven't seen any mods for the first game, even though full mod tools were released

No ! it would take away immersion

Yeah, I always hear how mods can't suddenly produce a full character model is none exists in the game files—but then I know next to nothing about modding.

This is a very subjective question, of course. I for one always feel like a TV screen with forearms attached to its sides in first-person view—hardly immersive imo.

It's a lot more realistic and immersive than being a floating camera behind the character. lol

Fair enough. To each their own—make it happen, devs?

This below, but also the fact that now a days you can make sure you can see feet and hands properly (yes not always) but being attached behind your character would make it less realistic in its approach and fights as well.

Its not that I dislike 3rd person, it works well for some genres and situations.. but not in this.

Have you played the first game? Your torso and feet can be seen

I have—for a bit, anyway—and that's true, but still... look, this is just my opinion, of course, but it just never felt right for me.

it wont give same combat feeling and stress of not knowing what behind you . also fact you need to see how sword moves and etc to be able to react . i dont think it possible
