Hello, Survivalists!

There have been a lot of questions as to what's next for Away From Life, and I'm thrilled to finally share the roadmap! You can now check out what's coming in updates soon, what's in current development, and what the long-term plans are for the future.

ADDITIONS

The required level has been added to the crafting process description.

CHANGES

You can no longer drink from water cather if you have the maximum water supply.
Changed key icons in the menu

FIXES

Fixed collisions on the map
Fixed a bug where carpets couldn't be picked up
Fixed a bug where some islands weren't marked as discovered
Fixed a bug where wasps couldn't be killed with long-range weapons
Fixed a bug with saving crops

ADDITIONS

Motorboat inventory is now saved
A new weapon has been added: the Homemade Rifle
A new workbench has been added: the Advanced Workbench
The ability to craft engines has been added
New items have been added: engine parts and wires

CHANGES

The workbench model and name have been changed; it is now called the Primitive Workbench
When a client leaves the server, their data is now saved to the save file of the game host
The crafting list is now sorted sequentially by category
Increased respawn time in crates
Changed the crafting of some items

FIXES

Fixed and localized some words
Fixed an issue where clients would fall through the map when connecting to the server
Other minor changes and fixes

Early Access Review

I can't recommend this, even in EA. For a survival game that has been in development for years, the number of things broken in the basic survival loop just amazes me. There's "we're shipping this with some rough edges because we want feedback" EA, and then there's "we shipped the prototype" EA, and this is the latter. It's currently an alpha release, not a beta release.

The author promises more content. Content isn't the problem - choppy mechanics and obvious bugs are. I hope this game gets better with time, feedback, and a lot of work. But unless you're willing to slog through a lot of rough development cycles, I wouldn't pay for it until it gets a lot better.

Early Access Review

This is kind of like Stranded Deep but with bigger islands, way more lush vegetation and some really cool ambiance. I was as impressed with the storm and how real it felt. I understand this is an early access but I did not experience any bugs yet. I hope this will continue get developed because it looks really promising.

Early Access Review

If you loved Stranded Deep this is definitely the game for you. This game is clearly inspired by it with various improvements, like: more complex islands, more craftable items. Some issues still remain but the developer seems invested in solving them as they are reported. I've been waiting for a Stranded Deep 2 game for a while now, and since this one dropped I am satisfied.

death spiral lost everything.

I was surprised by a boar and it killed me. went to get backpack was killed by kimodo lizard while putting on backpack, died, repeated and then boar killed me again while trying to put on backpack and equip something to fight with. tried to reload now I have nothing. no backpack nothing but primitive axe. Can you at least let us not be killed while equiping backpack????? Or better yet let us respawn with backpack so we dont go into death spiral??????I didn't have another save game because i deleted all the...

GPS Advice: Finding home island.

Before leaving home, remember to open your watch (F) and set a GPS weigh point (R). Marking your location with a pin, with distance from pin displayed on the watch, making it impossible to get lost even if blind drunk. Oh yeah Devs, how about alcohol, with all that spare piping an scrap metal laying around? 👍...

Every time a player logs into the game, they get stuck by the foundation and cannot move

Dear members of the production team, hello! I've been playing the game since it was released, and I've discovered a serious bug these past few days. After each save, the next time you log in, the player model gets stuck in the foundation of your house by default, and the camera angle is squatting! You can't move! You can only use the construction axe to demolish the foundation of the feet to move normally! I hope you guys can fix it soon!...
