And HL:S uses entities that have the same name as HL2 ones (i.e. item_battery or weapon_crowbar) which would possibly make the game glitch out due to it reading from two FGD files.
Half-Life: Source on the other hand is indeed a reasonable game to support coop for. Hopefully I can get both of these code-supported in the public beta soon with the first few chapters of Half-Life: Source.
As for entity classname collisions, Synergy has a way of handling this.
