Dedicated Server Engine Error Couldn't allocate any server IP port
I have run L4D2 dedicated server on the same machine without issue, using the same syntax (srcds.exe -ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx port 27015 -console -game) literally copypasted, and Synergy server immediately crashes with the error in the thread title, while L4D2 DS doesn't. I am not trying to run the 2 servers at the same time.

srcds.exe -console -game synergy -ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -port 27015

That is the proper way to do it, your params are screwed up.

try a different port (27016, 27017 etc.), or if you have synergy running try starting the server first then start synergy. also make sure your ports are open (forwarded). and yes, your params were not correct, you need to specify '-game synergy', not just '-game'

Those weren't the total of the arguments used, just the portion copy-pasted from my command for launching the l4d2 ds. Which works fine running on the same machine. I am not running any game clients on that machine.

And the ports I am aware of being used by srcds are forwarded, they would have to be for the afformentioned l4d2 ds to work.

If your running the l4d2 ds at the same time you will get this error.

I am not, as mentioned in the OP
Removed the -ip parameter (but not -port) from my launch command, now it works, in case anyone in the future runs in to this.

I just stopped including it in my launch command. I was using that paramenter, but I found not using it solved the issue. At least, I'm pretty sure it did. This was a few years ago.
