Game not starting

Synergy will not start. The screen just goes dark, then it goes right back to the desktop. Sometimes, the loading screen will appear, then the game closes. I have reinstalled Synergy many times and even reinstalled Steam itself, and it still won't work.

This started on May 24. It finally opened up on Monday, but today, it went back to not starting.

I looked in other threads and saw mentions of putting -autoconfig in the launch. I tried that, but that doesn't work either. I've verified game cache, but nothing seems to help.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any way to fix it?

It seems to let me on after I reinstall it(sometimes). Then, it goes back to not starting.

There needs to be a fix to this. I didn't download a mod just so it wouldn't play.

Having the same issue since MONTHS now does that too in estranged act 1 i have all HL games installed and SDK 2007

*FIXED XFIRE in-game otion was the problem

Check to make sure your not in any Synergy betas.
Then try disabling your anti-virus as it may be blocking/deleting game files.
Also check to make sure you graphics card is up to date and working.

i fix this, so i delete synergy , go to steam folder and there do this too, and download again, now work.
I get this cause i attach all games, and idk why episodes not work perfectly
