Objects and ragdolls floating about?

Earlier today I was playing abit of Synergy with my friend through Hamachi, as we played the ragdolls and objects would float or fall inside the map.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

If they were not colliding with the walls roughly, the physics engine bugged out. This is usually caused by something the physics engine doesn't like and only fixed if you restart the game.

Was it happening for both of you or just you?

Always verify your game cache as a first step in correcting any issues, do this for both HL2 and Synergy as well as the episodes if you have them.
