Synergy will simply not load and it is really frustrating to get it running.

I bought hl2 for an amazing price yesterday, and my friends said I can installed synergy, a mod that I can play multiplayer on that game. I installed it, verifyed the intergrity of the files, and It would not load at all, my screen just stayed on my steam games page. For a few seconds it said I was playing the game as my status, but then dissapeared.
Half Life 2 runs fine and will launch, but the synergy mod will not.

Yeah all of us are having the same problem...

Launch HL2, EP1 and EP2 through Steam first. Valve put out an update that moved the games' files to another format.

This should fix Synergy.

Not much of a fix...
I loaded all my steam games just to make sure and still.
Just loads hl2.exe in task manager and then goes away.
I even load a mission in half life 2, episode 1 & 2 still nothing.

But if that didn't work, then I would of gone with source 2007

I've tried everything.
I've looked so much that after looking at the stupid forms for 2 days i was able to fix other peoples problem.
The beta works better than this version.
HOW DOES A BETA WORK BUT NOT THE LASTEST REALEASE?!?!?!?!?!?
I understand it's steampipe that's causing the problem, but atleast realease an update for people who are having the problem...

They did, that is what the announcement states, they don't get paid for it so give a day or two.
