synergy is telling me that no internet games respond to the query

this has been happening scince last year even though i am connected to the internet.
i run on a mac pro from early 2008 ,it operates normaly with out any issues. please help!

Is this in the Steam servers list or the server list in the Synergy menu?
In either case make sure the filter is set correctly. The Steam list you can select the game, in the list from the Synergy menu the game should be preset (to Synergy) and unchangeable.
Maybe try validating your game files, or possibly reinstalling Steam.

ok, i use the ingame menu and the filters are nominal, so i will check the game files maybe this can help clarify?

k, i checked the files but i dont know which folder (or other forms of data storge) to validate?

ok do you know the most relevant files

you validate the games files by right clicking synergy in your games list and selecting properties, then go to the local files tab, then click the verify game cache button.
Not sure if this is the procedure on a mac though.

it says 1 file failed to validate and will bee (lol) reacquired

i did not work, i tried it a second time and it said the same thing as the first time i validated the files

keep validating until it says all files were successfully verified.
If multiple attempts fail to get a clean set you may need to remove/reinstall Synergy

also verify your hl2 game cache, Synergy relies on it

if all else fails i guess i'd reinstall synergy/hl2, if that fails maybe reinstall steam
