As you know Synergy is a 3rd party mod and I'm sure you know what it is and does.
We tried a bunch of things last night, I know. Could it be that admins are just kicking you because they don't want someone they don't know on their server? I believe that's a possibility. That's why I asked you to accept a friend request so I can host a game for you to join to test that idea out, see if you can stay connected.
I was able to play for 20 minutes last night without any issues. I was not thrown out or anything. I think you probably have already tried to re-install so something else is going on and it may be a really simple problem, or it may be what I just said that maybe the host is giving you the boot for personal reasons like they don't want people on there they don't know.
None of the servers for Synergy that show up for me are VAC secured.
I kind of thought posting in the help section was asking Steam and or the community for support, but I guess I will inquire further. Thank you for your assistance though.
I would have to download Synergy again for that to work and I just submitted my request to Steam. I know when I am vote kicked from a server, but the VAC server was just not letting me in at all and it was not password protected that I can remember. Even still if it had been that message it gave me should of been something else I would assume. Perhaps it was running a different version I do not know. Not all of my Workshop items would seem to load properly for Synergy so I was told to do a few things with my account. After changing back is when I first had the problem, if not that day than the next or after that. But that was also right around the time of downloading collections of subscriptions for Gary's Mod...
I also know Counter Strike servers can ban for any reason as well, but if I do not even have the time to team kill, block doors, nade spawn or make an idiot of myself in chat, (Which I would never do anyway.) where literally I do not even have time to buy any weapons and I am instantly kicked time and again from multiple servers back to back and I have never had this problem before, something does not sound right.
That did not work, as in doing the development branch, starting Synergy and then doing version 56.15 Synergy 15.7. The same thing is occurring and I took a look at the other thread, but it talks about moving files around and what not. May need to wait for an official fix even though the dev said they were working on it back in June 2016...
quote=Balimbanana;1733213724900408897]You might have to go straight from development branch, starting up Synergy, then switching back to "None" which is version 56.16. Going to 56.15 or 15.7 may remove what switching to the development branch added.
Edit: Also, does the viewmodel work in the development branch? [/quote]
Going back and forth from Development (Was I suppose to start a game or just get to the main Synergy menu?) straight to Opt Out did not work either, I have my WW2 looking grenades and my AK-47 and the Combine look like Terminators, but both my pistol and my SMG are stock from HL2. Also when in the title menu in Opt Out I have the viewmodel tab and I can see an empty box where a viewable model should be, but is not. When playing the actual game is when I can view what models to choose. When briefly in the development mode, the option to view model was there, but the box it self was completely one solid color, as in there was not meant to be a real option to view to begin with.
As far as I can remember and I am 99% sure of this, I had went back to the way it was originally before all the mess ensued, which is what ever the default was. Since I had not played CS in a while I am not sure what triggered the bans from them now.
Well I unsubscribed. I am not really sure how else to check for it. And I uninstalled both Synergy and Garry's Mod and only recently tried to install Garry's Mod again as I want to work on some comics. But it tried to download close to 155 subscriptions and stalled my system trying to find the last three strangely enough, so I had to shut my computer down and restart it. I did not know I had that many subs to begin with. I am probably just going to start deleting all my subs and then hand picking them very carefully.
Steam Support is working with me now and we try to do something it seems once a day. I do not want to try anything else while they are working on the issue in case one thing hinders the other, although I do appreciate all your time and effort as well.
If you would like to "play" a game of something we certainly can in the mean time. Hopefully this all gets corrected and I can reapply for the servers that did ban me. Apparently some are linked if it is owned by the same people so I can not even try some of the more popular ones.
Good idea! It won't to check for the workshop and custom folder to see if they're still there, and have anything in them. Might be best that if they do still have content in them to leave them be and include that in your next conversation with support or write an update to the ticket to inform them there's stuff there. They're likely going to agree that if there is anything there it should be deleted to eliminate them being part of the problem.
If you have Synergy installed try creating your own server and see if it stays running. That'll be some fun if it works. Or we can compare our libraries and see what games we have in common.
To appeal the bans you'll have to find out how to contact the admin. If they have a website that's probably where you'll have to go to address it with them and ask for the ban to be lifted.
