How to restore regular HL2 Difficulty?

Synergy's difficulty is way too hard in my opinion. Is there any way I can set it back to default Half Life 2 difficulty with normal damage and enemys instead of Synergys?

Take the skills file from HL2's config folder and put it into Synergy's config folder.

Where would that be located in the game files?

try here

Thanks. Where is Synergys skill cfg folder? All I could find was skill_mod.cfg

The problem is, the difficulty is more suited towards 4+ people, but I usually only play with just one other guy. And if he explained how to git gud that would actually help.
