Can I play without HL2

Hey guys so I'm downloading this now but just found out its a source mod (I know, stupid right?) but anyway I don't have HL2, but I do have TF2 and Garry's Mod that I know are made from valve, so can I still play this? or do I NEED HL2 or a different game?

Yes you can play without HL2. Just make sure you have Source SDK base 2007 installed. You can find it by hovering over the word "Library" on steam and clicking on tools. Just install that and then install zps and you can play.
