Alt-tab - Freezes the game

Heya guys. It seems you can't ALT TAB out of RA3. When I do, it freezes the game window and doesn't allow me to take any actions with task manager. Any known fixes?

Are you running it in fullscreen? The game may freeze, yes. If you play in windowed that should never happen.

For the record (since this is the top search for "RA3 alt-tab freeze"), you can enable this on the Steam RA3 version by adding -Win to the launch options for the game; there is no in-game windowed mode setting. (Even if you're using the C&C Online launcher for working multiplayer, the -Win option will 'pass-through' to the game fine.)

RA3 100% hard-crashes for me (on two different PCs and two different copies of RA3, one Steam and one non-Steam) *every* time I Alt-Tab unless in windowed mode.
