[SPOILERS]Is this really the only ending?
I loved pretty much everything about the game, but seriously, is this how it all ends? Momo just kills the final boss (one of the world deities, mind you) without any consequences for herself? After undergoing the Lunar Attunement with all of the eerie buildup about whether it's a rightful thing to perform or not? After all the dialogues about whether Selin's doing the right thing creating a world for demons or not? With Lineth in the end not saying a single world about the death of her own brother? I was seriously expecting such a sugary non-momodora-like ending to be Momo's post-battle trip, but apparently it isn't?

Lineth talks several lines about her brother in the post game celebration? she is next to the dev room.

Yeah, as a conclusion to the whole series (though I feel like we're not done with this world and we may return to Karst, just not with Momo or Dora, thus no Momodora) it felt a bit... weird. I like it for the game itself, but from the final chapter I was expecting more, something that tied everything together.

I was scouring the discussions for someone who felt the same way. The game feels fundamentally unfinished in a way. There are seemingly loose threads in the gameplay (the berries that do nothing, the old man asking what day it is), and the story feels thematically and narratively incomplete (isn't Selin to be sympathized with?, we just killed a god, the whole human sacrifice thing remains unadressed, the same old man muttering that things are not over). I was desperate for some kind of narrative twist at the end, a betrayal by Lineth and final fight or something, but the game sort of just fizzled out. I overall had a fun time with the game, but all of that felt super weird and dissatisfying in the end.

This was my first game in the series and reading about the sacrificial maiden ceremony on the sign and it being mentioned in the notes I was dreading the outcome for most of the game, but it just never came up again besides certain dialogues that seemed to trigger flags, so that was kind of weird. Everything else was alright, I followed the plot well enough. For something that ties in with the other games and is a shocking topic I figured that'd be addressed unless it was only ever meant to be a reference. I still enjoyed the game a lot and have since played Reverie and will play the others too.

Same here. I expected something, some kind of plot twist or even a different ending, but nothing. Only the happy flower one. Which wasn't bad, but kind of dissatisfying.
