Weird fruits?

Does anyone know what the use of those fruits that seemingly do nothing is? You eat them and it says something about tasting strange but nothing changes as far as I know.

doesn't seem to do anything. I found three of them and they added nothing to any of the counter.
Maybe timer based? need purifying? relic? sigil combination? I dunno.

Weird! I just found it again in my arrange playthrough "You dont feel any different"

I noticed there is a moon eclipse from time to time. someone should try then. maybe that's the key to understanding those fruits.

all the hints we have is what the NPC in town first said "this one is ripe, eat it" and the few you can grow.
if it's ripe then, if it takes 10 minutes for a fruit to grow from nothing, maybe it's also timer-based for the other weird fruit. maybe it has to do with an eclipse timer? since they're dark and all...

Thats an interesting thought! I'm not smart enough to figure it out myself so im hoping someone does eventually lmao

I think it probably just does nothing.
I noticed that each fruit is similar to a character so it might just be a way to have one for Dora.
The dotted one is for Kaho's (same pattern as her socks), the peach for Momo (peach is momo in japanese) and that black fruit is for Dora since it has the same marks as she has on her face.
The blue mana fruit is most likely for Semilla by that logic

I figured it's just a little joke. You expect every berry in the world to have some transformative effect on your character, and then these are like regular gooseberries or whatever.

Where is the third? I found one near where fairy springs connects to lun tree roots, and one around meikan villiage but no third yet unless i ate it without realizing.

there is one in the demon frontier. I forgot where exactly but I do remember it's somewhere above the starting area with the fat cat.

Someone said their increase your luck (= crit rate) but don't know if true.

It might have been a placebo effect thing, but I thought that I noticed them slowing down the stamina drain rate for lunar embrace. Not 100% certain though.

An old man in the village said that things are not over yet, beating these fruits and the last 1% achievement gave two crystals, it is hard not to think that there is a hidden ending (hopefully there is)
