Valentine's Day

I wonder what i should i do during a Valentine's day. For example, In Story of the seasons, We are told to give chocolate to villagers but i dont see specific things to do in this game

Before valentines day I noticed the grocery store was selling friend chocolate. I never bought any thinking I would just buy it before Valentine's day not realizing it was a Sunday and would be closed that day. I'm not sure if giving the chocolates gives any more friendship points than normal though.

i dont really know how to give people gift rather than invite them to hang out and give them at the end of the event

You can give gifts through the post office as well.

Post office is also closed on Sat and Sun which are when the holidays are so we can't send them on V day or the related holiday - White something.

I really hate that we can't gift or do request turn ins to NPCs directly. Mail is a nice back up to have, but since the post office isn't open every day and is bugged sometimes where it's closed on days it should be open it's difficult to complete requests on time. Not sure it even matters though as I've never received any acknowledgement when a request was fulfilled - either on time or late.

Oh interesting. For my Valentines day I was able to mail a gift to Fuyu and he got it the same day. Maybe the closure days aren't correct?

The grocery store sell two different gift for Valentine's Day. One is friendship and the other is romantic. You need to keep and eye on it because they aren't at the same time when you go to buy it. They are in different days.

If you want to give gift to people you need to wait until some event where you need to invite Gabriel to hangout. After that you will need to look the list of friends in your phone and invite the one you want to hangout. After your hangout is over there will be an option to give a gift and some more options.

It's possible the days are wrong or you got a helpful bug with the post office (as opposed to the usual one where it's closed on days/during times it should be open :D).

I'm on Valentine's day now so I'll stop by the post office and see if I can send anything.

EDIT: Can confirm the post office is open on Valentine's Day. I'm not sure if this means it's always open on Sundays (and the open/close times are therefore wrong) or if they just open it on certain holidays. I'll try to remember to check every day of the week to see.

Wel I see users saying that the post office is open on sundays. I can confirm that mine says closed. I didn’t realize it was Valentine’s Day, so I was waiting around for the farmers market, went the whole day, saw this post, so I reloaded my game (losing everything I gathered that day) to find that my post office is in fact closed on Sunday, not open.

At the time of the original posts, it was open. I'm assuming this was truly a bug as after a later update the post office was again closed on the weekend, including Valentine's Day. Sorry you lost a day by reloading because of relying on this post. I haven't played in a couple of months so didn't realize no one had updated this info somewhere. There have been several updates since the initial release so it's advisable to ask if something is still the case if you come across an older post like this.

Nah it’s not too deep. Luckily days are made up quick in this game. It’s probably my favorite farm sim. Seems a little silly to remove that option though. Especially since you can’t ask anyone to hang out in early game.

Yeah, it would make more sense to either have the post office open every day or let us gift directly without having to go on outings. I'm glad it wasn't too much of a pain. Have fun!

Yeah I definitely feel like the gifting thing should be different. But thanks I’m definitely enjoying the crap out of this game!
