Remove planted crops and plants dying
1. Is there a way to remove crops from a plot to plant something else? Some plants last really long and in early game you are limited to a few plants. After leveling changing to different crops proves to be a problem as the space the starter hose can reach is limited and i haven't found an option to remove crops yet. Any input?

2. My tomatoes and bell peppers keep dying in spring (still in first speing, so dunno what happens in summer). They are watered and fertilized perfectly, so that can't be the problem.
Plant daddy tells us, that they should die off in winter not earlier and grow just fine during spring, but will not bear fruit before summer .... based on that info they shouldn't wither, should they?

Answer for anyone having the same problem:
As of right now plants that can grow but not fruit in a season will wither, if they completed their fruiting stage in the wrong season. To avoid that plant these crops X days (depending on how long the plant needs to grow) before the season changes to start harvesting in the correct season right away.

I haven't tried it myself, but you can use the fork (with control clidk) to remove planting squares. It might work to remove the plant there too. Give it a try.

Sadly that didn't work. I had the same hope :D

Try pickax that's how you remove plants in most games.

Are the plants dead or disappearing? If they are disappearing, it's because animals take them.

Pickaxe didn't work either. I might try to use the destroy tool while in building drone mode, but i don't think that will work either.
My plants are fully fenced, so no wild animal can get them. They turn into dead dry stalks and can be harvested for plant matter. That happens only to tomatoes and bell peppers. All other plants have been fine so far

I'm having the same problem with tomatoes and bell peppers. They die and never bare fruit. My garden is also fully fenced in and watered daily, so it's not that.

Maybe report it as a possible bug then. It might be the plant daddy info is wrong and they die in spring, when they shouldn't.

Crops that cannot produce in season die in season.

Why though. That makes no sense. If they want to keep it that way, they should add that info to plant daddy. Otherwise it is a huge waste of money. Right now based on the info provided it is reasonable to expect that you can grow the plant in spring and harvest in summer.

You can use the digging fork to fill in the plot which gets rid of anything planted as well.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to clear something up. Plant Daddy absolutely does give you the information you're referring to, and it also shows you when you're buying it in Sunnyseed. When looking at the screen for each plant, it'll say season then it'll go in columns for each season on when you can purchase it, when you can plant it, and when the plant fruits. I'll use tomatoes as a current example since I saw it mentioned here. Under Spring, it shows that tomatoes can be bought in Spring, planted in Spring, and has a red X for the fruiting, Summer has green checkmarks in every category, Autumn has it showing it cannot be bought, but can be planted and fruit bearing. That's what is going wrong for your plants. You can see how many days til to harvest to plan out when to plant so that it is fruiting in the proper season. Hope this helps clear things up for you all!

Actually I did notice diiscrepancies between the plant daddy catalog and the plant purchasing catalog. So maybe that's something they could look into.

Going off of the examples they gave (tomato and bell pepper, being in Spring) it is not a bug and the system is working as intended. See my pinned example ♥

So does a crop that has a checkmark for it that it can be planted any given season but does not also produce fruit that same season, should it be dying off when it matures or just not produce any fruit that certain season?
