Where are my animals?

I ordered a chicken and it hasn't been delivered in days. I think I clicked past the explanation of how they are delivered and the tutorials don't have any useful information on the topic. Does anybody know?

They should appear the next day. Do you have the coop door open and the animals app?

I do not have the door open but I have the app. I'll try opening the door.

Well. I was pressing the wrong button lmao. So there's a purchase button on the animal adoption screen but you have to press "adopt" instead. Then you press the purchase button. That is genuinely incredibly confusing.

I copy off of Gabe farm they are free roaming my farm. They can't die but be unhappy and won't produce anything. I think the devs and Gabe mention this about the animals.

Oh ok you using mkb or controller? I found it easy on controller with mouse for shopping and the map

I am on mouse and keyboard. It wasn't difficult, I just overlooked the first step of the process since everything else is just 1. click to add to cart 2. purchase. I did get my chicken in the end though so I'm happy.
