1) Fishing is stupid lucrative! If you go to where your tea house is and use the river rod (lure isn't required, but will speed up the process) you can catch King Salmon... and HOLY CRAP are they worth a ton. I make 2K selling 1 days worth of fish!
2) Spacebar jumps you back up from your bike if you (like me) end up crashing while doing sick stunts down the temple stairs!
The want you to build a fence around your crops so a certain furry bandit won't steal them from you
ok but is it that a big thing? i am at day 3 but i dont think i am near any fence but have spend a lot of time farming.
Well, I mean, some people I was watching on YouTube lost every single one of their crops. Both potatoes, all the strawberries... So yea, fencing can be kind of important.
Thanks for these! I already just added the spacebar one to my original Reddit post just before coming to check here, but I will definitely add your tip about the fishing there too! Appreciate it!
Yeah, I didn't have any problems personally (until recently and I had to build a fort knox around my crops), but I've seen people lose EVERYTHING to that $(#@)! (god I hate that thing)
How to make people hate your game on day one.
Even with warnings, players are still trying to plant and get a head start on farming from Day 1 when all they need to do is wait until they have the ability to place fences around their plots to prevent this from occurring, for the most part.
I don't know about day one but when Gabe takes you to get the bike and stove he also mentions getting a dog to protect your crops but that fences work too. So there's a warning but it's turning out that might be too late for some people who got unlucky.
I think it will surprise almost all of the players, their crops mysteriously just disappearing if they plant Day 1 and any of their crops are lost.
In this respect, I'd like to see a warning be added to the game when Kat gives you the strawberry seeds when she does about needing to protect any seeds that are planted to protect them from wild animals. It would be at this point that most players should realize what took place if they lost any of their planted crops by then.
It adds a uniqueness to the game not seen in any other farming sim games.
