Master Ishikawa and the Axe Quest

I got the quest to get some ore and I did that but when I go to him to give him the order for the axe, he doesn't even acknowledge the quest. He just small talks. How do you advance this quest, pleaase?

You have to order the ax at the counter, that's where you buy and sell things.

When on the purchase windows, look at the middle-ish area, next to where all the items he's selling is. There's a box that says "Services" on it, click that and it'll switch to his crafting section, same thing with Phillip and some others.

In all honesty, this particular part, the vendors and the different tabs/options they have would have benefited having a tutorial as many players who tried the demo were confused by this.

As many tutorials as this game has, I was surprised one was not included here for the vendors regarding this.

How do you confirm the order? Do you just exit the menu after selecting it?

I'm having the same problem. I select it, then exit out and he says I can pick it up the next day, but there's none in the dropbox and I still have all the materials. I'm not sure if maybe I'm missing a button on the UI or something?

Just hit the confirm button on the reciept.
But the button will only be usable if you have the materials needed.

You can click the button on the sale or service tab if you're buying both types of things.

You have to pick it up in the bin outside his store!! Took me forever to figure that one out. (Not sure why you'd still have the materials tho-- if it's not in the bin then idk what it is, Sorry!)

Oh, I've been stuck on this quest too, going back and forth waiting for the cutscene to trigger, but nothing happens. So that's how you do it.
