Anyone have to demolish their house?

I finally got everything I needed to build my house. I chopped down every blade of grass... even put my drone under it to triple check, and it keeps saying I need to clear space for my house.

I can't even move it with my drone.
I'm afraid if I demolish it, I won't get my materials all back.

Has anyone had to demolish a building that had 100% of the materials in it but couldn't be built?

I haven't done this, but you can do it yourself and just reload your day if you haven't gotten your stuff back yet. Or reload back a few days before you put items on it. The save file remembers your last few days.

In further sad news, I can't even demolish it.

The drone has a new safety-feature to prevent you from accidently deleting large buildings. Open the drone-menu and look at the check-boxes on the right. There should be an option to “select and delete buildings”.

If anyone else runs into this, I went to build mode with my drone, clicked "select and destroy buildings" on the right hand side, selected my house, wiggled it around a little, hit e to build.

I didn't even have to test destroying it. So happy.
