How to clear a planted plot?

Hi- I haven't been able to figure this out yet, anyone know if there is there a way to clear a planted garden plot? I have too many of one type of plant & wanted to switch it over to something else. Thanks!

The only way I know is to use the digging fork and "Fill in" the spot with the plants and just dig a new one in afterwards.

It is the fill in while holding pitch fork i play on controller so its RB+RT for me, on keyboard i believe cntrl or alt+left click.

Thanks! I didn't see that option when I was trying to figure it out. I'll look for that next time I'm in game.
