Which Gems open the Doors?

I'm getting most of the doors, but I keep coming across a very pale mechanism that no gemstone will work for. Not even diamond.

Also, it would help if there was maybe a select five gems to bring. Carrying one of each gym literally takes up the entire backpack. So there's no point staying overnight to help Sparky because my bag is full.

I think a color of the forcefield coresponds with the needed stone. I might be wrong. its not like the game tells you anything....

Yes, it is. But there is a door that will not open. I try many and nothing.

Yeah, there are incredibly pale locks, almost pale blue or white, and no gems work on them so far.

Um... I went to the left. 😬 It was before a glowing red pillar.
I ran into one before too, when I went a different direction.

Hm.. I'm guessing this is the first cave, Barren Climate? Is it?

Pale blue can be aquamarine if you're in Barrens. If you're in Lush Climate it may be opals. Knowing which biome you're in might help narrow things down.

I just take a couple of each gem now and try them all, starting with the ones that are closest to the color shown, although I've had a few that the color didn't match at all. Sucks for bag space but saves me from having to rely on nearby stones to give me what I need. I just opened the 3rd area so this strategy might not last long depending on how many new gems each new area gives lol

Yep, you're right. Lush Climate only uses two gems from the Barrens which are amethyst and carnelian, and the others are opal, ruby and citrine.

I'm pretty sure different caves uses different gems. As for the third one, the desert, so far none of the gems work lol but I will try to figure out again tonight ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ

Lush & Desert Climate: opal, ruby, citrine, amethyst, carnelian. Hmm. It's weird they worked this time lol. There's an ancient cache in the desert, use onyx to open it.

New: sunstone (desert), moonstone (ice climate)

I hope they make a mining bag since you need to carry so many things to navigate the mines.
My bag is 3/4 full of gems before I even step in.
