It seems the only way to deal with unwanted trees or crops is to use your pitchfork and CTRL-L click to remove the plot itself, which unfortunately destroys whatever is planted there. That is the only way I have found to do it. Transplanting does not seem to be a thing.

Just in case you are aware of this: you can plant tress in large planter boxes that you build and then they can be moved by you wherever and whenever.

Yes, this is great information. Sadly, my orchard is already in the ground so it either stays there permanently or I would have to start over with the planter boxes. I'm ok with it's location but it's good to know there is a method to move trees with planter boxes.

ive noticed that if you wanted to remove the tree, you need to remove the soil area. Same way as you place them but keep ctrl pressed. If tried those planter boxes and i had a lot of issues getting it watered so i stopped

Quick Question: When do you unlock the large planter boxes? I have the small ones so I can't put trees in them just yet... :/

Absolutely true.
Buy the Bab's Raised bed building kit at the Ladybug Delight. Also buy the pots.
Go to Phillips and buy the Garden block raised bed. These will unlock others blue prints.

The best way to water the boxes is by using the bucket. I have no problems.

Open build mode from drone app and select the farming category. The blueprint should be there.
