Move Objects in to House
I have built my house , but the rice cooker and camp stove are outside on a table. When I use the drone inside it shuts the door and the same when I am outside. I want to move them in to the house is there any way to do that with out trashing them and buying new?

It's not that. I had a similar problem and the thing is when your outside of the house there doesn't seem to be an option to move between the inside and outside of the house while using the drone in build mode. It seems to be your either outside or your inside the house while in build mode.
As a matter of fact, I just crashed while in build mode trying to move between the inside and outside of the house. Another full day of work wasted.

I submitted feedback to RainyBugs to try and make this method easier, thank you! https://rainybugs.veratil.dev/bug/716/

If your drone is hovering outside the door, you can place items in the house. But it doesn't work through walls. Only through the closed door.

What about if you stand in the doorway while using the drone. Bring everything you want to place inside and place it right outside the house, then stand in the doorway and bring it in that way. I have't got there yet but it might work.

i had a similar problem. removing the cookier would pack it back into storage....

somehow my dog food bowl was converted into a cat water bowl... but all the kitchen stuff was repackaged into storage when i used the removal tool.

I love the drone for building fences, coops, sheds, etc. but I really dislike the mechanic for smaller items like decor, furniture, and appliances. I wish those were just items you placed with your hands and the item in inventory. Using the drone for the small stuff is really tedious and now I see it's even more difficult when trying to go inside the house which I haven't started on yet. Watching this post to see how it's resolved.

I've come back to this thread as I finally have my first house built and I'm now having the same problem. I moved all my plastic storage bins and blueprint items to the porch of the house and am trying to place things inside and finding no real way to do that. The camera angles on the drone while in build mode and using the move tool are awkward to try and work with and no way to open door while in drone mode.

Please suggest developers add a 'Open' (E on PC) button to doors while in drone mode.

I had the same problem. With a lot of patience, you can move items one by one by standing in the door frame with the door open, but I gave up trying to move cooking items between the entrance and the kitchen since the inside door won't stay open and the drone won't go through you if you stand in the door frame! Another problem is the dog food and water bowls since the dog can't get into the house if the door is shut! So he ends up being thirsty or hungry and sleeping outside without a couch, unless you micromanage him! I agree with the comments above that we should have the option to move items directly from the inventory. The drone can be quite discouraging and for now, I stopped playing because of that.

Thanks for this feedback and the frustrations you experienced trying to move things into the house. It helps me avoid too much effort on it as I already find the drone building for small objects to be frustrating. I really think it should be used just for large buildings outside but I'm sure changing the coding now would be too much work since they've already designed it the way they have it.

Do you know if deleting and rebuilding something (ie. the rice cooker) will allow you to rebuild it inside on your countertops easier? I would hate to lose resources but maybe it's just simpler to place things from the drone blueprint instead of moving them inside.

Fortunately I had not bought a lot of funiture or other things in anticipation of waiting for the house to do that, so it's not too much I'd need to rebuild instead of move.

I think that for the rice cooker and the camping hotplate that you're given early game, you can "destroy" them with the drone and they'll go into the cache; you can just place them back where you want, but I don't know about the other items. While fiddling with the drone, I even moved the entire house by mistake and only realized it when I saw part of the ranch fence inside the house, right behind my kitchen cupboards| I agree with you that it's great for building fences and larger farm buildings outside, but not for decorating.
