Feature requests for Chinese learners
大家好,

I was advised to play this game because I love point n'click and I've been studying Chinese for 4 years now so I hope I can use it to practice.

A couple things right from the beginning :

1) would it be possible to get the subtitles in Chinese for the Chinese intro sequence (and I guess other sequences like this during the game)?
There is only Chinese voice and it's still a bit difficult to follow for me.
Also I tried to switch to English but now it's all English (even the audio which is useless to me)

2) I see that switching from Chinese to English in normal playing situation happens pretty much instantly, without cutting the game. Would it be possible to implement a shortcut to switch instantly between Chinese and English subtitles, without skipping dialogs?

3) After playing a little bit more, I see that in normal game situation (not special cutscenes or even long dialogs like after that murder with the guard yelling), dialogs are automatically skipped so there is no way to pause to understand.
That's for dialog with voice, or pure text : it's going very fast and I can barely read all the characters 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫
Would it be possible to add this as a special function (disabled by default)? I imagine most native speakers don't need a pause, but this would be super useful for foreigners who want to understand the game better, in the original version.

4) Last request, which would be absolutely fantastic : have another button to repeat the last audio for a dialog. I have seen that in some visual novels before and it's also a real help for learners, if you didn't hear well you don't need to only focus on the subtitles, but have possibility to repeat a phrase as many times as you need.
That way when in doubt on a sentence, I could just type a key, check English text, and key again to return to full Chinese. I have this idea because I have seen it in action with Disco Elysium where you can switch automatically between two languages — in my case I chose French and Chinese — and that was super useful to fully appreciate the game !

Thanks for considering all these. I know that's a lot, but without all of these I don't think I can play the game at the moment, even if I know enough Chinese vocabulary to enjoy it. It's just too fast to follow.

Otherwise the game looks beautiful, I hope I can get back to it soon ! If those few problems are fixed in the near future, I will be sure to recommend the game to all my Chinese learning friends :)

谢谢!🙏

I think it would be much appreciated if both text and audio could be selected (e.g. English text and Chinese voice) - that would be very authentic

Hello!

The game script is not very good for learning since it uses many dated words to refer to that era.
