Mass Effect Graphics Mods

Do any of the graphics mods for Mass Effect 1 that are floating out there on the interwebs work for the steam version? There is this improved textures mod on moddb and I was wondering if it worked on the steam version? http://www.moddb.com/mods/mass-effect-1-new-texture-updatesimprovements-mod

They do, and I'm pretty sure there is a set of instructions there to get the launcher in the right place so you can load up the texture pack before booting up the game. Do note that if you successfully load the pack, instead of immediately starting up, you will see a black screen for a few minutes and THEN the logos and title card will show. It's odd, but works. High-res textures are pretty great though they still didn't fix clothes for me. Getting to the quality found in the performance one is probably more easily done by fiddling in the config file though make sure you have a backup if you do that.

I'm using Texmod for my ME1. I have to trick Steam into running Texmod first, and then the game runs with the mods I've downloaded and selected. It can be tricky, but I think the download for it explains how to run it with Steam.

Well, in this post: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/128/index/8565134/1 you will find the collection of graphics mods for Mass Effect 1. Read also the last pages. Now they're using ME3Explorer for install the mods instead of Texmod, using less resources. In page 57 and 59 there're some link for the .mods files, but if you prefer to wait a little, they will release a Install version, which will be lot easier to use.

Guys i have a question. They are telling me that i must use LAA first and find MassEffect.exe in x:\Users\xxx\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Config. I dont havy any exe like this in this folder neither in game folder in steam folder. So what should I do?

mass effect.exe is in your game's folders typically: steam\steamapps\common\masseffect\binaries. The directory you mention above is for bioengine.ini tweaks. My Documents directory is always for save game files and config files only pretty much for all games on windows, unless you specifically install games there, there should never be .exe files installed to the my documents directory.
