Decision on the Council *SPOILER*
I just want to see how many people did the Paragon or Renegade ending. Who did you choose to take Humanity's place?

I did the paragon ending and put Anderson in the place because Udina is just a incompetent bureaucrat. Besides Anderson being an old friend, he looks much more intelligent and capable than Udina, in an urgency matter. It's like:
Anderson: different politcs style, good old friend, etc
Udina: just another politician in the council

Yep. I choose to do the Renegade ending everytime no matter who i am (Paragon or Renegade) beacuse the council doesn't hardly help you and make stupid decisions. I do choose Anderson to take Humanity's place beacuse he seems like the better choice no matter who you are. Unless you are gunning for total RENEGADE Sheperd.

I always save the council because... WHY NOT? Thinking logically, by saving the council, you destroy the geth fleet, there are no major casualties, the council is gratefull for manking, everybody loves humanity for saving the citadel's ass. There is only things to gain by saving it, rather to let them die. I always try to look at the council side of vision, so I don't quite hate them. Besides, it looked the right thing to do.

It doesn't realy big matter - will You save concil or not and whom will You put as a human representative. It will hv almost zero influence In ME 2. In ME 3 Udina will take a sit in concil in any case. And saving the concilors will take away third part of all human space fleet as a result - fewer war assets.

It doesnt matter if save or let them die. If you save them they grateful for you saving thier asses and provide ships in Me3 to make up for your losses. But if let them die you dont lose ships and the new guys love you for the old group dieing off. Udina will always be in charge no matter what you pick.

I choose to let the council die but at the time was sure that was the paragon option and was shocked that it was considered the "renegade" choice. Hindsight is always 20/20 but for me not knowing what would happen it wasn't worth possibly losing the Citadel just to save a bunch of politicians. It makes sense to me know but back then I was pissed.

The problem is that there were no risks of losing the citadel since it was closed and would take time to open it. All the Aliance fleet needed to do was to shoot the geth, because the geth was in the midle of the way. Also, it would be more risky fighting Sovereign with the geth crawling citadel space and the Ascension destroyed. The ascencion is one of the strongest ships in the galaxy, it is not worthing let it be destroyed just because there was politicians you hate in there.

It was risky to lose ships in geth fight and even more - losing time, while Sovereign was trying to reactivate the Citadel.
the ♥♥♥♥ is that the game doesnt save after we make the final decisions so... those decisions wont go to me2 when we import... D:

What do you mean? You must have done something wrong because everything is fine here (except Conrad Verner "remembering" me pointing a gun to his face, but I didn't do that)
Miles Imperialis Feb 4, 2013 @ 2:23pm
Uh, another reason why i let the council die, is beacuse if you let them die it seemed like you won't waste anyone and instead completely focus on taking down Soveregin. Overall though it only went down to if you want to put up with them and decide who takes the postion. (not that it mattered though.) I also think that it should have been a Paragon option to let them die. You have to sacrifice some to save everyone.

I chose to save them all the way, I just feel like such a jerk choosing to ignore them... you lose a few ships either way, and it feels like it would be self-centered to let the council and all of the others aboard die just because they're aliens. Just my opinion though.

The Destiny Ascencion worths much more than the 2 ships aliance losts by saving the council. It is just the right thing to do, they are allies!
