Can a full Paragon have renegade points?
Hello, I just started ME1 and it is my first time playing...
I want to go full Paragon, but I accidentaly did a quest that rendered me 2 renegade points. I heard that you must be full paragon or full renegade in order to do something important in the end of the game, and I would like to know if these 2 little renegade points would affect in anything. Like, if the game won't consider me a full paragon since I had 2 renegade points. This is important since it would affect my gameplay.

From what I know about the first game, it shouldn't matter. If you do most or all of the side quest you should still get to Max Paragon. But I am not 100% sure, I know the second game randomly gives out Renegade points even when you are going for full Paragon.

But I heard that the ending changes and you are able to do something very important (save everybody i think, wich I want very much) if you are full Paragon or full Renegade. But I don't know if this means that I must have 100 Paragon points and 0 renegade points. There are some renegade things I want to do a lot.

For instance, early in the game I did a quest that rendered me 2 renegade points. After reading the Full Paragon stuff, I went back on the save files and did the quest again, the paragon way. I must know this because I won't ve so cautious when playing this game and I will feel more relaxed

You can get 100 in one bar and have a fair amount in the other. I don't think you get any points after 75% and a quest at 80%. If you need to talk your way through the part at the end, it will require some points spent on persuasion or intimidate, unless you import your character several times, in which case you can get maxed persuasion/intimidate from paragon/renegade and spectre status. I think the right sidequest can negate needing persuasion or intimidation for the part you are probably refering to though.

So there is no problem to have renegade points? Will it affect in the plot?
Nicholas Steel 6 ENE 2013 a las 6:35
Nope. All Paragon and Renegade points do is open up new branches of conversation. You are not forced to take advantage of these new conversation routes in either of the first 2 games. (I haven't played the 3rd one, so can't comment on it).

So you should not experience anything different so long as you have 100 paragon or 100 renegade. Excess points in the category you are not striving for shouldn't have any impact.

The only way you can have full Paragon and Renegade points is through the use of a console command which would also require tweaking the game files.

You are not getting the point. I read that it will happen something in the end that the only way to do it right is if you are Full Paragon OR Full Renegade. I choose the Full Paragon way. But being a Full Paragon means that you must have 100 paragon points and 0 renegade points? Or can you have some renegade points, without worring too much?

As long as you get 75% paragon 75% renegade, you will have no problem. The party member dying thing that you were referring to doesn't even require dialogue if you do the right sidequests. If you don't do sidequests you need 8 charm or intimidate, which I know you can reach with 75% para/rene. I don't remember if you unlock ranks elsewhere, like for becoming a spectre, which would mean you need even less.

As long as I get 75% paragon OR 75% renegade, right? I went to my first mission after citadel, went to noveria and got 55% paragon... so if I score some renegade points, it won't be a problem? (ps: thanks dude)

You can get full paragon and renegade even with out spending points to both of it. But it will require to walk through the entire game several times, to be exact - 6 times. Each full walkthrough will give automaticaly 4 pts to paragon or renegade side.
Btw, full paragon or renegade or both of them will open special sidequests b4 going to Ilos.

WHAT??? someone dies at the end??? who? and how can that be if nobody died on my gameplay... (exept wrex but his death isnt at the end, and ashley but that is inevitable)

My only playthrough so far maxed Paragon with a handful of renegade points. I was still able to do the only thing at the end that required high persuasion/paragon. Saved everyone, including Wrex (yay!) except the one you have to leave behind on Virmire.

Wrex's possible death is pretty close to the end if you do all of the sidequests. That is also the only possible squadmate death that can be avoided with charm/intimidate, so I assume that is who he was wondering about.
