Rendering Thread Exception on Noveria
I got to Noveria and got to the garrage and stuff. I made it to the place where there is the little cutscene showing a Geth Armature and then I killed it and the surround Geth. After I drive forward a few more meters, I get a 'rendering thread exception' error crash.

This is the only spot in the game where I get this error.

Accompaning it is the following message:

"Attempting to load unused mip #0 for Texutre2D BIOA_ICE25_T.ICE25_detailsbuild_DIFF"



My specs:

CPU: AMD 8-CORE
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GEFORCE 680
RAM: 16 GB


I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, my graphics drivers, and DirectX.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there,

I know this thread is a couple of years old, but it was the first I found when I looked up my specific error. I'm running the MEUITM-Mod and therefore changed a few settings in the .ini files.

The whole game ran smoothly until I encountered the exact same spot (entering the vehicle on Noveria and driving a few steps). After changing a line in the .ini file, it ran flawlessly.

File: C\Users\<User>\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Config\BIOEngine.ini
Line (after change): TEXTUREGROUP_Environment_1024=(MinLODSize=2048,MaxLODSize=4096,LODBias=-1)

I hope this might help another stranger on the internet some day. :D
