Mass Effect Crash on start up|FIXED|

I recently bought Mass Effect 1

I click play and it just come up with a error message that it has crashed and I don't know what to do.

Thank you so much for the YouTube video. Changing the launch settings to XP Service Pack 3 / Administrator worked fine for me and it no longer crashes on startup. Now I can play the game everyone has raved about so much!
