Scanning the Keepers

I hope I didn't break the game....

I met the Salarian, Chorban, and scanned 20 Keepers. Then I ran into Jahleed, the Volus, and promised to talk to Chorban. Then I scanned the final Keeper, got the XP. Then I talked to Chorban, told him to stop his research (which I actually thought was a good idea), and got the 8 Paragon points. I think I need to go back to Jahleed and extract the same promise from him.

I thought you could either complete the scanning or convince Chorban not to do it, but that doesn't seem to be the case, unless I've missed something.

I'm wondering if this adversely affects events in the later games.

It affects almost nothing. Maybe an email in ME2, nothing more.

The info in and related to this sidemission kinda sorta matters, but the mission itself doesn't affect much at all.

Thanks, that's good to know. I just had Jahleed arrested, I think. Not what I wanted, but I didn't seem to have a lot of choice. Then again, he did ask me to kill Chorban.
