Any fix for music cutting out?

So I just got this game going again on my computer after having problems like everyone else to even get it to run.

But i've once again come across the problrm that plagued me on my old computer: At times, the game's music will just stop playing. I've noticed it happen when I go change options in the game's title menu then when I come back to the main menu, the music is gone. Or it sometimes happens when you load a save. Sound effects are still present though.

I don't remember noticing this on my very first playthrough of this game over two years ago, but I noticed it a lot on my second, when I had installed the Bring Down the Sky DLC. Could that be responsible?

In any case, I seem to recall other people complaining of something similar and was wondering if there has ever been a proper fix for this? Or do I just have to keep quitting and reloading the game to get the music to work?

Note: The problem seems to occur whether I have the audio option set to "Hardware" or "Software", whatever that means.

I would also like to know, I picked this up on sale and a big part of the game to me back when I played it on the 360 was the music score. I seem to have the same exact issue as you.

Not that i know of. Besides of course restarting the game.
