Windows 10 Problem With Exiting Game
I'm having an odd problem after upgrading to Windows 10. The game will startup and run fine, but when I attempt to exit the game, the computer hangs on a black screen forever. Cannot alt-tab or get to the task manager. The only option is a hard restart. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Just had the same issue on windows 7. Recently did a reinstall, and ever since the game has been acting like this.

Yes I'm having the same problem. Hope there is a fix out there somewhere.

Think I've found the fix. Instead of opening from steam I created a desktop shortcut. The pathway is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect\MassEffectLauncher.exe"
Right click on this, select properties, and then the Compatability tab. Choose the 'Run this program in compatability mode for Windows XPService Pack 3. I also ticked the 'Run this program as an administrator' box. Worked like a charm last night.

How the heck did you get ME1 to run with windows 10? i've done literally everything to try and get it to work, the compatability thing set to xp service pack 3, run as admin, just starting from steam and the regular launcher, doing a complete reinstall, and verifying game cache, and it still doesn't even start. I really want to play so i can play up through ME3 while i wait for andromeda :(

Edit 3/5/16: For some weird reason it started working after i verified the game cache for a second time..... idk lol but im not complaining
