how do i exit a mission? (help no longer needed)
so im on a mission that i cant finish and i cant get back to the ship. is there any way to abort a mission?

What planet / mission are you on at the moment? Maybe provide a screenshot of it?

Virmire. You can't leave Virmire without completing the entire mission. If you've already started infiltrating the base, you cannot switch squad-mates either.
Loading an earlier save is your only solution.

Why do you need to get back to the ship? Can you not just continue on and eventually beat Virmire?
