It might, but you may have to turn off Vsync.

I tried turning off vsync, but seems the game engine locks the framerate at 60 or something.

Try digging around in the 'Bioengine.cfg' file and CTRL+F search for 'max'. I recall there being a setting dealing with the maximum FPS.
