Hello, i bought the series on Steam but the kode which steam gave me isnt working on Origin i cant activate my game and i cant install Bring down the sky down dlc

you cant register the base game anymore and the bring down the sky dlc cd keys may not work but atleast it is free. There is another thread on the forums with a link to an official dlc installer that no longer requires the codes to install.

I didnt used a code for the dlc i've dowload a install file for bring down the sky but i cant install it it requires my cd key.

I realise this was a few days ago and you may have fixed it, but have you run Mass Effect at least once before trying to install the DLC?

And did you reinstall Windows between when you last played it and right now?

Right, so you've re-installed the game and have you run it once since you reinstalled the game?

Just run Mass Effect and then exit it, then try again.

Right ok, there is a possibility that Steam hasn't added the proper registry keys. You can add them manually.

• Press WindowsKey + R together to bring up the Run dialog box
  
• Type regedit and hit enter
  
• Browse to

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\

• In the left hand pane you should see Mass Effect (tm) so expand that
  
• You should then see ergc - Like this[i63.tinypic.com]
  
• in the right hand pane, your serial key would normally be there like in the picture I posted above. If it's not there you can add it yourself
  
• Right click a blank area in the right hand pane and select New > String Value and name it including the brackets - (Default)
  
• Then right click that newly created string and select Modify...
  
• Copy and paste your Steam provided key for Mass Effect and click OK.
  
• Close regedit
  
• Try once more to install the DLC

Yeah I bought it back when it was still available to buy separately.

It's included in all Origin copies of Mass Effect now, it used to be that if you registered your Mass Effect key on Origin and downloaded Mass Effect from there that pinnacle station would be included in the Origin version (and Bring Down The Sky too), however recently Origin hasn't been accepting Mass Effect keys for some reason.

You can try and register your Mass Effect key on Origin and see if it accepts it though.
