Will it work natively or will I have to install third party programs, or change settings in the vanilla game?
The only issues is that you have install physx to make sure it always launches, and people with AMD cpus need the black blob fix.
Audio stuttering sounds like a problem with openal or DPC latency, and loading pauses sound like a pretty slow hard disk
DLCs if any are a PITA to install thanks to the infinite wisdom of EA, but that doesn't depend on hardware.
None of them apply in my case. My PC specs can run ME2 and ME3 at max (very high) settings at stable good FPS (never actually needed to measure those because they look smooth and polished). Audio in both games was fine so its that my hardware is too fast for a 2007 game (game works better and has less audio gliches for me if audio hardware acceleration is disabled). This is the only game that will struggle detecting your audio devices (speekers) and you have to check log files to check if it is doing that. I also tested the loading screen in unintended places and they still happened even at the lowest settings so my hardware is still too fast. This is me (not the same for everyone, as I said)
The dlc is a little tricky to install but when you get it come here and we'll help - or look at a guide to learn the method.
When you open the options, you may have a time finding where the higher resolutions are. Just look really good when you open the options because the drop-down menu arrow is hard to see. It's there though, and when you click on it more resolutions will show.
Cheers
And openal-soft should be even better than hw acceleration.
