Alright first you need ME3Tweaks mod manager. This mod manager works with the whole trilogy. Meaning You use this mod manager for mods for me1 ,me2 and me3. As long as the mod can be downloaded and installed using a mod manager ofcourse.

Alot do some dont.

This is how it will work using the mod manager. YOU go to nexusmods. Download me3tweaks mod manager. And install it. ITs easy i doubt you need help with this.

ONce thats downloaded and installed.

Find a mod you like. That can be installed using the mod manager. Download it.

Now go into me3tweaks mod manager. Make sure your mod library is selected to the game your trying to mod. IN this case ME1.

At the top In the taskbar there will be a section called mod management. Click it. IN the drop down menu hover over import mod. Then you will see some options click import mod from 7zip/rar etc. As all mods from nexusmods are rar files when you download them.

After clicking import 7zip/rar it will have you search and select the rar file that you downloaded. ONce you select the mods rar file. YOu click open and the mod manager will unzip it and put it into your mod library.

YOu then click apply mod to install.

Bame done.

For mods that cant be downloaded via this mod manager ill need you to be specific on what mod your are trying to download and install.

You don't need any mod managers to mod the trilogy. It will make modding even more complicated. Visit ALOT and MEUITM pages and follow the instructions. ALOT has its own installer that you may call a mod manager but it's simplicity itself. The process of installing textures and everything else is mostly automated or just a matter of dragging and dropping.

Then you may need to use a different mod manager. as the above post stated. YOu could use alot.

Or you can download and install everything manually.

HOw about this just name a mod you want to download and install. Ill help you install it manually.

meuitm
every1hasnames Jan 10, 2021 @ 7:21am
First install any other mod you want to use before installing meuitm. As If you install mods especially texture mods after meuitm. Meuitm will not work and the game itself may not work.

Second Go in game and set all of your graphic settings to ultra. As high as they can go.

3rd make sure real time scanning is turned off in your antivirus. It can sometimes affect the installation process. You can turn it back on after installation is complete.

These are the recommend prerequisites before installing.

Now its time to actually download and install the mod.

1st step: Download Meuitm manually from the mods webpage on nexus. I recommend downloading it to your desktop for ease of access. This should give you a folder called meuitm reshade. zip

2nd step: Unzip the rar file using winzip or 7 zip. This will give you a folder called meuitm

3rd step: Open the folder called meuitm and open the application called install

The program is opened. And you go through the options to pick your custom texture varients. Under the mod varients options.

4th step: Then theres a second group of options right under those for installing limiting textures to 2k, Installing indirect sound and install reshade. Select what options you want with that.

5th step: AFter selecting all of the options you want, click install.

The program does its thing. It can take a while.

Thats it.

When you launch the game it should be working.

Some things to take notice to see if it is working. Loading up the game should take longer then normal as the game is generating the shader cache. And the beginning should be choppy as the game is loading up the reshade.

Also there should be a meuitm icon you see in the beginning of the game along with the others in the beginning. YOu know the icon of the devs and stuff that worked on the game in the beginning. YOu should see a meuitm icon mixed in with them.

This is one of the more simpler mods to install. As literally you just download it from the nexus webpage.

Unzip the file. And run the install application for it. Pick the options you want and hit install.

I dont know why its telling you that. mem stands for mass effect moder. Which is the program you opened to select the options.

Because the application you open in the meuitm folder you dowloaded is called. Mass effect modder.

Its the application you pick the options for meuitm.

At that point might as well play on an Xbox One X. On my PC with settings all high/ultra the game still looks like ♥♥♥♥ and I get screen tearing. :balloonicorn:

It's almost a direct console port so the lack of settings is to be expected, not mentioning how old the game is. Learn to mod then. The process of installing mods for the trilogy is pretty much automated, but I guess it's still hard for some people.
To get rid of screen tearing enable Vsync in fullscreen mode given that your monitor is 60Hz, or run the game in borderless windowed and cap the framerate at 60.
