Mass Effect OST being used everywhere

Anyone notice Mass Effect music being used in TV shows, etc.?

Netflix seems to be using the themes in their lineup trailers, it's been used in the show 'homeland', there's that one new show about colonizing mars that used the ME3 "leaving Earth" theme, and I just heard ME2's "reflections" on A&E's 'Hoarders'.

Did Bioware just sell off the rights to the soundtrack?

I know some of the music for ME3 (like Leaving Earth and An End Once And For All) was written by Clint Mansell. He has a lengthy Hollywood resume and presumably the licensing agreement for the tracks he provided to ME3 is different and allows him to license them elsewhere.

I have noticed over the last couple years that a lot of Science Channel shows about space use music from Mass Effect (I've also noticed a few of the people they interview for those things wearing N7 shirts). There was a somewhat older (maybe from 2008 or 2009?) astronomy show that even used the galaxy map music as its opening theme.

A german (I live in germany) TV show also uses the Mass Effect soundtrack from time to time

Here in Germany we have a similar show to Americas Next Topmodel. They just used leaving earth for a "dumb" interview. Never felt so triggered :D

Bei Pro 7 wird "leaving earth" einfach soooo oft und soooo unpassend verwendet ;-;

Ich frag mich manchmal ob die die nutzung überhaupt mit Bioware/EA geklärt haben
