Reshade by crosire in Mass Effect 1?

Okay so I recently installed ME1 along with mods, but what I can't remember is installing something called ReShade by Crosire into the game. What I don't get is that when my game loads after I resume my recent save game, the loading screen won't end unless I press on the Windows key.

I tried uninstalling and then installing the game, without adding any mods to it and when I get back into the game, the dammed Reshade window pop-up thing is still there, slowing down my game and possibly not letting me enjoy the game at all.

Are there any solutions to this or should I just give up and start mass effect 2?

Sounds like something may have altered some config files in My Documents > BioWare > Mass Effect > Config. That could be why reinstalling the game did nothing.

Try deleting the contents of the Config folder in My Documents > BioWare > Mass Effect. May take a bit for the game to start the next time you try, because it will have to re-create default config files.

ReShade does not alter configs in any way. It's either latest version is not compatible with the game or/and some game tweaks, or you messed up with something. I remember having issues with ReShade myself, whereas SweetFX up to version 1.5 was working just fine.
