How so? You can have ME1 and ME2 on Steam, and ME3 on Origin, makes no difference.
That said, I'd probably buy ME2 on Origin and buy the DLC bundle there to go with it (albeit during one of the frequent sales).
For ME1, it really doesn't matter. Wherever cheapest or most convenient.
Assuming you already are a Steam customer, who cares? "Mixing and matching" has absolutely no effect on standalone games.

I already own it on Origin so not possible. I was just curious, since I remember people being able to get Mass Effect 3 for free this way. Although it appears you can buy each game separately now on Origin so it probably doesn't work anymore. Although someone in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/17460/discussions/0/152392786913923852/
seemed to be able to still get ME3 for free in March this year, so maybe someone could still get lucky trying this.
