It's basically a digital comic that lets you decide some of the more important choices in Mass Effect to carry over to Mass Effect 2 without playing the actual game. You will miss out on A LOT of smaller assignments though. Like the Cerberus missions or any of the ME1 loyalty missions.

Every decision you can possible think of. You can literally use an old me1 completed game save that you have and literally use the program to change anything you want about it.
You killed ashely in the original save but want to start me2 with ashely alive. All you have to do use the program to do it.
YOu can even recreate your characters appearance Using this program. It does everything. That your asking and more.
You can tell which characters you want to die and which live. You can tell it which characters you did their loyalty missions.
You can tell it you did every mission in the game and even tell it the outcomes of every mission.
You can make it so you had a full paragon playthrough or a full renegade playthrough or mixed.
