the game doesn´t work with any controller

I have tried to use the steam controller, the xbox controller and the Ps4 controller and none of them works in this game, and they are perfectly working with other games that I play here.

I have also tried to iniciate the game as administrator, and that doesn´t work either.
When going to the game from my steam library and before iniciate it, appears already on steam a message saying that this game requires keyboard and mouse. I though all of the games from steam should work with controllers too.

has anyone the same problem?

Not by a mile, there are many PC-only games on Steam that don't have any controller support.

The Mass Effect games though, they are console games, or at least started as such. But they don't support controllers. I don't know any other console port that does that. It's not a bug, they just removed controller support for no sane reason.

This isn't Steam's fault, they sell the games, not design them. Bioware is to blame here.

Controllers work on Mass Effect. Actually Steam Controller work, as there are community settings for it. There are also threads about this issue here and many have problem, and many do not. It's windows administration rights that conflict with steam's big picture (windows runs game as admin and it clashes somehow with BPM), mainly 1indows 10. Apparently there is no issue in windows 7.

Unfortunately I don't understand it enough so I can't apply it :(
The main fix is to make the game to run in not administrative mode, like all other games.

Probably I could get to work Steam Controller on my linux system, but have no way to try as I run out of space on my SSD where linux is (games run from windows steam on playonlinux through steam native client with steam controller on linux - that's a hack or workaround that linux user found to play windows games, at least most of them work that way, but not all of them).
