looking around still feels laggy
Yeah as of the current update looking around feels like the camera is stuttering, idk if it's intentional to replicate old ps1 jank but its just not fun to play

I think by stuttering, OP just means the choppy movement of the camera compared to the rest of the game, which runs above the camera's rate.

That's not stuttering then, stuttering is when a game has a very inconsistent frame rate.

I think by stuttering, OP just means the choppy movement of the camera compared to the rest of the game, which runs above the camera's rate. I have a monitor that runs at 240hz, Lunacid reaches 240 fps, but the camera doesn't.

It's not an easy thing to show on 60hz monitors, but I tried to record a video here to show it, Recorded at 120 fps, slowed down with a frame count and rendered at 60 fps. For reference, the video starts with the cursor smoothly moving up the screen at 240hz. Then I unpause and move the camera at the same speed, check how the movement doesn't match the actual framerate and looks choppy, same with how the sword's movement stops every couple frames

tldr, if your game's running below the camera's capped rate, it'll look fine. But the higher your framerate, the more choppy it'll look.

i am having this issue. chunky looking camera movement. kind of disorienting.

i thought changing my refresh rate from 120 to 30 might help but it makes it worse. changing it to 60 makes it better but doesn't eliminate it.

The camera is smooth now (it was fixed with an update a while ago), but it's actually the hand and weapon view model that still only updates at 50 times per second. Everyone experiences this if they use a mouse, it's just a matter of whether they notice it. I'm truly hoping that Kira fixes it with the 1.0 update!

nah man i'm seeing the environment around me kind of jittering. setting it to 60 made it eminently playable, though. i don't even notice it anymore, though it is there if I look for it.

Do you have vsync enabled?

I think you're right about the mouse part. The weapon animation is smooth only when using a controller to look around.
If anyone reading this wants to help get this potentially fixed before launch, post about this issue on the KIRA LLC Discord server in the bug report section.
