Should be on that skeleton on the right side of the picture (boss door with the magic seal is at the eastern most part of the Forlorn Arena). If it's not there, the game either bugged or you have already picked it up (you do not need to interact with the item to pick it up. You need only get near it and it will auto collect into the player inventory).
Best thing to do is either check your materials inventory, or go to Etna and check directly from the alchemy forge to see if you already have it.
No problem. But be sure to double/triple check the materials inventory as that inventory does NOT alphabetize. Materials display in the order in which they have been picked up (ie your most recent pick ups will be towards the very bottom of the list).
Otherwise yeah, game probably borked on that item. Can only recommend loading in and out of the area to see if it loads in.
I also tried to copy paste a backup of the SAVE_0.midnight file from an earlier backup which didn't register in the game so now I have no save file and have to start over :(
EDIT: I did manage to get the save file working after some fiddling but still no dice, broken blade not there in my saves.
Please tell me how you managed to get it working again, I'm in the same situation
So I believe the problem was that I deleted the existing save before copying over then new one.
My entire process was:
1: Delete existing save
2: copy backup into LUNACID_Data folder (save location)
3: load game and notice all three save slots are empty.
4: created a new save in slot 1 (where the backup was going to go)
5: on loading in I noticed that other than the new character details all the items from the backup were present which lead to me humorously being able to stab with the silver rapier during the cut-scene when the players hand moves after being thrown in the well.
6: My position and character was still borked however, so without deleting the save file I copied the backup into the data file again and on reload I was back where my character was when I made the backup, all items, levels and character data intact.
I should also mention that doing this resulted in a save file SAVE_2.midnight being created and after I confirmed the backup worked it was safe to delete the SAVE_2 file.
