Lunacid
Best Class?
I didn't play much EA. I only played Vampire.
Now i am not that much into Magic, but i wanted to go with Witch.
Mainly, and probably because of Magic Weapons if those are in the game.

Is that a good choice?

Waste of Skin. Right. :sunekosuri:
But seriously, i am asking does INT affect Magic Weapons and such.

I know classes depend on your style, so there isn't a "best", i just wanted to know if i want magic weapons, would a Witch suit me fine.

As far as the ingame description goes INT only increases your Mana, the damage you do with spells and how fast you cast spells.
Weapons with elemental dmg or special attacks are not affacted as far as I can tell.

classes are less important than in other games

Forsaken is the only class that doesnt have any wasted points.

get a lot of dex and run around really fast and do big jumps. you can jump really high, too high maybe

the class with the highest speed stat

Pick the one with the highest starting level if you want an easier start. Leveling is easy and you can get very powerful in the late game. Your class choice doesn't really matter. It won't lock you out of weapons or spells or anything.

movement speed is horribly slow until you can get a few levels so save yourself the trouble and go with shinobi.
Classes only matter so far as the base stats and resistances change, but in the long run, they won't really change your gameplay.
What will determine your character will be more your stat allocation and your weapons/spells so it's kinda like dark souls in that sense

I think INT might actually increase the speed at which you cast spells. I started a new game with shinobi today. Flame spear would take ages to charge but after I leveled INT, it's pretty much instant.

I also don't think it affects damage of spells or magic-based weapons, though.

Regardless, as stated, classes in Lunacid work more or less as they do in Dark Souls: they're mostly a way to boost you to specific builds, but you can also ignore that intended build and play however you want.

Some classes do have gimmicks, however, such as the vampire, which you might be familiar with.

As suggested, you're better off making a shinobi due to their innate high SPD, a stat you should prioritize anyway. As easy as leveling up is, that extra speed does make the early game much smoother than it'd be if you played with a class that has low SPD. But if you don't particularly care about running very slowly at first, anything else works just fine.

They also have different resistances. Which in my book has more impact than the stat points. Stat points you can grind until you can jump to the moon, run like sonic and hit like one punch man but resistances always stay the same for you no matter how long you grind.
Yeah, i know. i was mostly asking for weapons. But since stats do not affect weapons or magical weapons, i am going with Vampire, this is what i used in EA and it fits my RPG style of custom avatar. While i like magic, i actually enjoy more magical things like weapons rather than spells itself.

So thank you. Will play once the keybinding reset gets fixed. Currently it's impossible to play with the default bindings for me.

Vampire is the best class. You can find what each class offers compared to others. Now, each class has different defences against different attack types. As to why Vampire is the best class, it gives you a shortcut in one of the main areas of the game, gives you health regen on each melee hit apparently, makes you lose less blood when bleeding but recovers it slower than usual. Also, in an area full of blood you constantly regen your health. Vampire also gives you access to Blood Wine, which heals you, but poisons you if you are any other class.
