I'll pop in a card rating section next.
Generally the answer is: Don't. Markets take 20-24 months to refund their investment. Inns take longer. Craft Material places are fine, but don't seem to expand their line of goods after upgrading... don't know if that's a glitch, but as it stands, there isn't much point, say, investing in a Level 1 tailor. I raised one to level 5 hoping it would produce magic cloth for crafting, to find it still only makes bandages. Lots, and lots of bandages. -_-;
Obviously, I'll update when the game next updates in English, since I really enjoy this game.
Also, for investment, the strategy is to find somewhere with a low level building with +++ money and buy it and upgrade. Going from lvl 1 building to level 2 doubles the profits, but the upgrade mats are much cheaper than buying a level 2 building straight out. At the start before the invasion timer starts you can explore the whole map, set up your investments, and then never have to worry about gold again, even with an expensive companion team. The 30 of each building material starting bonus is nice for this.
I think slaves you buy only cost 80 gold upkeep also, so in the very long run they could be an investment compared to tavern companions. I like going companion heavy, and only having 1-2 mercs in my deck to sacrifice at temples. With a thin fast cycling deck you can get companions out just about every turn, and that lets you reposition ranged aoe companions each turn for maximum effect.
For shooter I think the +5 ATK godbless might be S tier. All your arrow spam while moving /support fire is +5 attack also. So early game your hit goes from 6->11, and support from 3->8, and moving arrow spam from 1->6, at least according to the character sheet. That's for arrow spam build, +5 attack wouldn't be as good for an attack skill build of course.
As I mentioned in the guide comments, it remains still the only greyed out card for me after about 120 hours of play, the RNG obviously hates me lol. Though I guess I was playing all three classes fairly equally.
I can see that being a decent enough investment strat. As I mention, I'm kind of sad investing in suppliers of crafting mats doesn't expand that selection and I hope that gets added in future.
Girl heavy playthrough, haven't tried it myself but I know there are the tools there to make it viable; especially with Harem Wings Godbless.
Oh, and also for the Summon Waifu Godbless, when I take it I've still gotten another SSR companion recruit after the tutorial dungeon. Maybe you were just unlucky when you tested it. That makes it better as a godbless since SSR girls can be super OP. Also, there is a ? encounter that lets you replace one of your starting skills with a random godbless, so that combos with 1 time bonus godbless.
I'm starting to think that there might be a hidden pre-requisite for the arrow rain skill, since my new archer hasn't gotten it at all. My archer that got it had a lot of attack skills that fired multiple arrows like crazy shoot / Rapidshoot .
But as far as I can tell, a destroyed (entirely) town just turns into a ruin forever and can't be repaired- this was the case when I had a descent on basically a cave with only a Mine on, it was burnt to the ground in just three days (due to only being 1 building) and though I could visit, there was nothing there.
So the ideal thing to do is to actually, you know, doing the hero thing of showing up at the 11th Hour. :D
As for Summon Waifu, it is possible I got super unlucky; but I did have to fish for the perk a few times in order to get and test all the SSR's for the guide, and in those tests I never got an SSR in the starting tavern afterwards at least 10 times.
What I think actually happens is that the SSR spawn chance is affected by how many you currently have; it gets highly amplified if you don't have any girls at all, but lowers the more you have. Possibly with a time factor as well. This would explain why it's possible to still miss getting one on some regular starts.
There are certainly some aspects affecting card drop chances as well; it took me AGES to get Ice Age on my Mage main, but they were focusing on Acid Arrows and Soul Drain cards. I got offered Magic Siphon practically after every boss. It's possible if I'd have taken Ice Shield and Ice Comet cards I would have seen it more.
And after looking for a long time, I didn't find where the problem was.
However, even if the tavern recruitment does not appear in the first month, it should be found in the second month.
Does that also apply with the Summon Waifu perk picked? i.e. You're supposed to get 2 SSR with that perk?
It would be nice to hear about how some of this works from the dev, since we're mostly just making educated guesses in English (haha).
The Summon Waifu perk does allow you to double the SSR, they are independent.
The new version has a lot more features and text content.
It's just that with my level of English, I find it impossible to update two or more languages at the same time.
So we have to wait for the version to basically stabilize before proceeding with this work.
However, I am a little worried about whether the new content will keep you interested, and please continue to give me feedback after the experience.
No problem; you already said as much in the other topic when I offered some changes. I am British ( from the UK ), so I'm happy to suggest machine translation corrections if you want to publish a version earlier, though.
Don't you worry, I love deck-builders and I love Battle Brothers (the game), and I'm a massive anime fan, and this combines all three! So, I won't abandon this one. Right now I have moved to play Dungeon Travellers 2-2 and Age of Wonders 4, but if you do release new stuff I will definitely be back to check it (and update the guide).
You can consider the guide as a big piece of feedback, actually. Maybe improve some of the cards I say are bad there?
It's just that there are so many problems that need to be solved that it is difficult to solve them all at once.
For example, the bug that caused the ejection to never end is still clueless and very headache.
Finally, the new version will no longer be just a Deck BD game, as you'll see.
I have never actually encountered that endless ejection bug, so I cannot help you with that, it has always worked fine for me.
I would guess it might be related to Windows 11, or higher resolution, or someone's clock speed/processor, or maybe Unity / DirectX version.
I say this as I am using Windows 10, use 1080p, have an AMD Ryzen 2700 and do not have problems, but I have a comparatively older PC I built myself a few years ago. Of course, I also only a mod maker, not a proper programmer, so these are guesses.
I look forwards to the changes, but I would also advise to be cautious adding in more systems. The game is already moderately complex, and too much more may not help your sales, if that is a concern for you.
