I'm not good with all this hardware stuff, and I'm pretty sure this isn't an nVidia card. Also, I've been trying to force anti-aliasing on in Libraries > Documents > EA Games > Mirror's Edge > TdGame > Config > TdEngine.ini, but I couldn't find an option for it, even after carefully inspecting every line and understanding it's meaning. Any help will be appreciated. Respond back fast.
As of today such mobos with integrated graphics are not produced anymore btw.
You need to buy a recent PCI-E graphics card from AMD (Radeon HD 7000 series) or NVIDIA (Geforce 600 series) and stick it on to your motherboard (there should be a PCI-E slot where put in the card and maybe connect the card to your power supply) if you want more graphics power.
1. Portal, Half-Life and TF are all based on the same Source-Engine by Valve while Mirrors Edge is completely different (Unreal engine 3). Could be that the Source Engine is more friendly to Intel GMA.
2. If you enable Anti-Aliasing in Portal and Co. – is there really a visual difference? Maybe you can choose it in the options but does is really change anything in-game?
3. Can you download a little tool called GPU-Z.

Run it (no installiation necessary) and post what it shows. I just want to be sure about your graphics.
I mean, you could open the side of your case and take a look at the motherboard if there is a graphics card plugged in...
However, press Ctrl+Alt+F12. This should open the Intel Graphics Options.

Look if there is an option to force AA - if not than it is definitly not possible with GMA X4500.
