Change the resx and resy and now it wont run the game because the file is corrupt

Help...no idea how to even play this game...how could you make a port this poor!?

What file is corrupt? Have you tried redownloading it? (I've never had any problems.)

This would be the 5th time I've redownloaded it...this is the worst port I've ever seen!

You still haven't said what happens when you try to play it. And what are your computer's specs? Have you considered that the problem might be on your end?

Oh I used to open the game, the little "Mirrors edge" Image pops up and then it goes black, I can see the side of my screen and then it crashes. Doesn't give an error code. I tried changing the resolution and now it can't run because it says a file is corrupt. Unless the game is near incompatiable with AMD it wouldn't be on my end.

Did it work before you tried to change the resolution? Maybe your machine can't handle the higher resolution. Is it a laptop? What kind of video card does it have, etc.?

It didn't work before I tried to do it, that black screen thing happened. Afterwards it said it was corrupt when I tried to change the resolution. My system can easily run this game, ATI Radeon HD 5850

Does it have Shader Model 3.0, which is required? (I don't know much about Radeons.) Have you contacted support?

Yeah it does. I have tried to contact EA about it but they just blow me off since it's such an old game.

Have you contacted Steam support? (They may not help, but you've got nothing to lose.)

They said I could get a refund, but I got the game for free from Amazon so it's like...no use lol. Though steam support just said to contact EA for the most part.

Try going into documents, ea games, mirrors edge, TDgame (i think), looking for the engine file (cant remember its name, should be TDengine or something like that) and changing the resolution to your monitor
